The 10th, I Think

I made it to the 10th Class Reunion. (Or was it the 15th?) I can't remember where it was held (definitely CRS complicated by AGE Syndrome) but a gymnasium pops to mind.

Disco was at it's height, our bodies were at their best, the acne had all faded, the curves sculpted, the career choices made, the babes born and life was at its climax! We all looked stunning as we danced the night away!

But I have to say that the best bonding was happening in the 'girl's room'. That's where a little quiet "one on one" was to be found, questions asked and answered, memories shared, hopes unveiled.

Gotta love this stuff!

PICTURES???

Anyone out there have some pictures of the reunion they would like to have posted here?

Or a link to your site?

Flickr?

Picassa?

Or maybe just some recent, or maybe even some 40 year old pictures they would like to post?

From a Post by Jim Morse

Sound's like a great evening thanks to the party girls. I was on my way there but had return to my home in Milford, MI to resolve an urgent issue.I really wanted to connect with the group and hear all the great stories of life and living. I welcome contacts from any who are interested. Does anyone live near me? I am between Novi and Brighton.
Thanks for starting the blog Deb. All my best Jim Morse

WE’RE GREAT, WE’RE FINE, WE’RE THE CLASS OF ’69!!

From Carol Richards...

The RPHS class of ‘69’s 40th reunion was a success, a small turn out but perfect. Not bad for only a 6 week planning.

The 45th reunion is scheduled for the 16th of August, 2014, same address.

The same menu, a potluck dinner. Mark your calendars!

You would have thought we had all planned the meal together. The Menu included:

Deeeelish grape and yogurt salad, 7 layer salad and a fruit salad

Cake

BBQ ribs - Steve Buys

Jello shots (class of 1974)

Meatballs - Mike Rogalla & Aileen (first reunion he’s come to AND he wants more people at the next one)

Fruit salad - Sandy Boorman Wagonmaker

Cantaloupe fruit boats Deb Traxler-Lothschultz

Larry Lebeau made delicious wraps (I hope so, he IS a chef)

I made green bean casserole (with fresh green beans from my garden)

Also cucumbers in sour cream and pickles (which I grew too!)

And pistachio nut pudding (stay tuned for a repeat next reunion!)

Others that were there included:

Pam Buck is 39 years!

Congrats to all you young lovebirds who are still together!

A Big Huge THANK YOU for donations from Judy Barnhart , Deb Margules (where were you Deb we missed you), Sandy Wagonmaker, Sharon Barnhardt, and Mike Rogalla, Carol Richards, Carol’s brother Russ (RP ’71), the Muskegon Bowmen (tables chairs and tents) and Carol’s youngest son (now almost 21) Allan Christensen Jr., and last, but not least, Carol's dear neighbor and ex-sister-in-law Jill Boeve Richard Wiggins (RP’74) and her husband.

Thank you Brian for the use of their beautiful garden for our party!

And, thank you Judy Barnhart for you $$$ donation for the portalet. (The class of ’74 got to share, so if you see someone from that class, remind them that the Potty was On Us!)

With the short notice of the reunion a lot of other people had sent their regards, but had previous plans and were not able to attend. It was great talking with Mrs. Barb Moore (retired and living in Arizona), and great seeing Barney and Janet Sutherland!

40th Reunion

What a good time to re-connect with old friends! The 4oth reunion was held at 1109 W. Giles Road in Muskegon on the 15th of August, '09!

Not much planning was done -- word of mouth, facebook and classmates.com generated some response. A Potluck was held. And according to Carol Richards there was some great food there!

But most important the 45th reunion is already marked on the calendar. So make sure to mark yours, send this off to your friends, an email, a postcard, a phone call! And we'll see if we can get Mike Rogalla his wish of having EVERYONE there in 2014! August 16th at 1109 W. Giles. Potluck dinner. Plan to eat at 6:30 p.m. sharp!

In the meantime, post a comment. If you would like to write something, create articles for our RP '69 Blog, feel free to email me, Deborah (Medendorp) Streeter at deborah.streeter@gmail.com
